FishUs Ippai

Ippai is a heavy minnow designed for targeting large pelagic predators with powerful tackle. Built with a reinforced heavy-duty structure, it features a 150 lb rolling swivel that allows the hook to rotate freely during the fight.

Similar to a jig-minnow, highly effective on tuna, little tunny, and other pelagic species feeding on baitfish near the surface. When fish ignore fast-moving lures, Ippai’s restrained sinking action and rolling flash imitate an easy, wounded prey that predators instinctively strike.

The body and lip design also allow for aggressive jerking and erratic action, while maintaining excellent stability on fast retrieves or while trolling at speeds over 5 knots. Its strong wobble, side-to-side movement, flash, and vibration make it easy for predators to track in open water.

Ippai is especially effective when fishing from elevated positions, sinking at approximately 60 cm per second and staying deep even during aggressive retrieves.

Its color range covers the essential patterns needed to match different light conditions, water clarity, and baitfish profiles in pelagic fishing.
