Okuma has expanded its popular Rockaway lineup with the new Rockaway Travel Surf Rods, purpose-built for anglers who need reliable performance on the go. Designed with travel in mind, these rods deliver the versatility and portability needed to chase your next trophy catch wherever your adventures lead.

Built from premium 24-ton carbon fiber, the Rockaway Travel Surf Rods offer an exceptional balance of lightweight handling and impressive strength. The responsive blanks are engineered to reduce fatigue during long casting sessions while maintaining the durability needed for demanding surf conditions. Okuma’s advanced UFR-II tip reinforcement technology further enhances flexibility and lifting power for improved performance and sensitivity.

The rods are outfitted with high-quality components throughout, including XQ Series angled Sea Guide 316 stainless steel guides with Zirconium inserts for smooth compatibility with both braided and monofilament lines. Their convenient 3-piece construction with tip-over-butt ferrule connections allows for easy packing and transport, making them ideal for traveling anglers.

Additional features include tapered shrink tube grips for a secure, non-slip hold and a rounded EVA butt cap that improves leverage and casting comfort. The Rockaway Travel Surf Rod series includes five spinning models, all built with medium-heavy power ratings. Lengths range from 8’6” to 12’, with medium-fast and moderate tapers available to suit a variety of surf fishing techniques.
