Owner Squid Skirt Sabiki Fish Catchers

The Owner Sabiki Rigs are multi-hook bait rigs designed to catch baitfish like sardines, mackerel, and herring.

Each rig has several hooks tied along a main line, usually spaced about 10 inches apart with 4-inch drop lines. Swivels are attached at both ends of the rig for easy setup. The hooks are nickel-finished and dressed with small squid-style lures in colors like pink, green glow, blue, and white, often with foil inside the skirts to add flash.

Different rigs come with varying numbers and sizes of hooks, as well as different line strengths for both the main line and branch lines.

Owner Sabiki rigs are especially useful for catching live bait on fishing trips. Some versions, like the squid imitations with larger skirts, work well for catching mackerel—often used as bait for larger tuna on long-range trips. Larger “non-rubber” versions, including gold hair sabikis, are also very effective for bait fishing. 🎣
